Dr. Genevieve Chaput

Dr. Genevieve Chaput is an attending physician at the McGill University Health Centre with a dedicated practice exclusive to cancer patients. She also has active academic and research profiles primarily focused on cancer survivorship. In addition to a BA in Communications Human Relations, Genevieve completed a MA in Health Professions Education (McGill University). During her Fellowship in Palliative Medicine, she was the recipient of the Henry Shibata Cedars Cancer Foundation award in support of cancer survivorship expertise acquisition. She was also awarded the Hospital Foundation Elaine T. & Charles H. Peters Award in Medical Oncology for 4 consecutive years in support of her leadership and commitment to develop and implement cancer survivorship initiatives.

Dr. Chaput serves as member of the Cancer Care committee of the CFPC. She is also a member of the Comite National de l'evolution de la pratique de premiere ligne of the Direction Generale de Cancerologie (DGC-MSSS) since 2015, which includes a role as cancer survivorship expert advisor. She is also committed as member of the Canadian Partnership Against s Seamless Patient Experience Advisory committee, as well as executive committee member of the Canadian Association of General Practitioners in Oncology, for which she has been mandated to act again as guest co-editor for a second Current Oncology article series targeting General Practitioners in Oncology.
